Our Vision
- It's been over 2 years of war, this is stolen childhood.
- A child who was 6 when the war started, is now 9! Traumatized children have a 2 year waiting list to get the government subsity for "Children of War". Their childhood will pass by and there'll be a generation of children with trauma.
- We need to do something! So we started 'Children of Chernihiv' social and spiritual rehabilitation center to give them their childhood back!
- We we want to ensure that every child suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) gets the help and support they so need and deserve. We wish to open centers across Ukraine. Centers that offer services and give light in the darkness.

This book is a testimony that God is still with us. Each and every one of us. This is the story of one woman’s triumphant journey out of Ukraine. In the midst of war, she found God‘s presence. The miracles we have seen our truly remarkable. Author and Director of the “Children of Chernihiv Center,” Sophia Sudak tells her story of her fight out of the war in Ukraine. She used the profits from her book to fund the children’s center in Chernihiv. Through his guidance, we are able to bring hope and healing to children across Ukraine. We will be able to open another center for the children orphaned or affected by the war in Kharkiv by the grace of God and your support.

Sophia Sudak, born in Lviv, Ukraine: grew up in England and now lives in Africa with her husband. Despite having no prior experience in writing, she felt a calling to share her family's story. We accept donations from private donors and foundations like: The Blue & Yellow foundation, Sunshine & Ravioli organization , Gold & Blue United Inc, and profits from the book “Surviving the War in Ukraine” all contribute to our center. You can also join us on Patreon, we collect donations from subscribers who want to follow our journey in helping the children. We get goods and services donated by citizens and organizations that have the same vision as us….safe, happy, healthy children in Ukraine. These children are suffering from unimaginable things. Losing a parent…or worse, both. We see the tragic outcomes this war has had on the children of Ukraine. They’ve lost loved ones, friends, their homes, their schools, their normalcy. It was all ripped away from them, so it’s up to us to restore the damage done.

We offer a comprehensive range of services for the children. While at the center they receive food, essentials, and services like English courses, methods for treatment of trauma, Music and Dance, Physical Education classes, Art classes, Christian ethics courses, and fun games!

The Children
Thanks to P.U.R.E ( Providing Ukrainian Resilience and Empowerment), a group of Americans who study psychological effects of war and treatments of various kinds, they offer their services free to the center. The children receive techniques and lessons in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to deal with post traumatic stress disorders or trauma they have endured. This is a truly rewarding experience for the children and it teaches them coping mechanisms for the real life nightmare they are living in.

What better way to pass the time and express your creativity than Art class! We offer the children the chance to learn and grow with creative art classes. Thanks to donors like Sunshine and Ravioli, we have supplies to offer the children fun activities with memories to last a lifetime.

Music is self-expression. We encourage the children to express themselves through musical arts. Thanks to the donations for our center we are able to pay professional teachers to teach our children piano, guitar, drums and singing!

Thanks to our donors, we are able to have Bible study! The children are elated to learn the teachings of Jesus, and share God’s love. We teach them the ethics that define what it means to walk with Christ.
The national government decided that Christian Ethics classes would be offered in public schools after the orange revolution.Now during the war, it’s more important than ever to teach our children how to have hope, peace, joy, and … love.
